The 43rd Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival is scheduled for July 21-23, 2023!

Posted on August 30, 2022

We are now seeking musicians for our Main Stage and our Children's and Teen/Tween stages!  Also, we invite the interest of artisans and crafters for our Artists in the Round, a juried craft show held at the Festival.

We're also on the hunt for next year's Festival Poster and T-Shirt design.

If you are a musician, and artisan/crafter, or artist/designer interested in any of the above, please go to the Festival tab and in the drop-down menu click on the category that fits your interest.

Live at The Fold Returns with a Makeover!

We've re-visioned Live at The Fold, and will be introducing cabaret-style seating, a social hour prior to the concert for BYOB (Bring Your Own Basket) noshing, and a featured beverage partner.  A cozy new ambiance will make Live at The Fold a true listening room of the type you'd find in Nashville, right here in da Yoop!

See the new Events page for scheduled performers, dates, and times.

Annual Meeting and Shindig!

Join us at Barrel + Beam on November 5, 2022, 5:00 pm, for the Hiawatha Music Co-op Annual Meeting.  Sound boring?  NO WAY!  We begin with a happy hour and live music, then enjoy a fabulous dinner catered by the NMU Culinary Department, our Annual Meeting where we elect new Board members, and then dance your feet off to the sounds of the Finnish dance band, Pasi Cats!

The event is free for new and renewing members, and $5 for non-members.

Join us at the Jams!

Hiawatha Music Co-op sponsors a Slow Fiddle Jam, an Old Timey Jam, and the Marquette Ukulele Group (M.U.G).  All are welcome!

Slow Fiddle Jam - Kicks off on Sunday September 18, 2022, 1:30-3 pm, at The Fold.

Old Timey Jam - Kicks off on Sunday, September 18, 2022, 3-5 pm, at The Fold.

Both of these repeat through the year on the first and third Sundays.

Marquette Ukulele Group (M.U.G.) kicks off on August 30, 2022, 6-8 pm, at The Fold.  Stay tuned for updates on more MUG gatherings.
