T-shirt Design Contest for a Cancelled Festival!

Greetings!

Hiawatha Music Co-op is looking for artwork submissions for a T-shirt design to commemorate the 2020 Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival that had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus. (We are saving this years’ logo for our 2021 Festival!) 

The design should reflect Hiawatha, our sense of community, family, love of music, and our continued support for our musicians. As well as our intention to be back next year! 

We’d like the content to feel light, humorous, happy, and hopeful about the future.

Unlike our previous calls for Festival artwork, we will not need the dates of the Festival included in the design, just the year 2020 and something, either an image or phrase that signifies Hiawatha. We’d like it to be a simple one-color ink design.  It could be a phrase, or a combo of words, and an art image.  No clip art please, and all work must be original.  

Submissions must be complete and print ready.

We plan to use this shirt primarily as a fundraiser, and have them ready for purchase by the weekend when Festival would have been held. We’re looking to get it up and going quickly, so we will be accepting submissions only until May 15th. We are accepting electronic submissions for this contest.

The reward for your artwork being selected will be our sincere gratitude, a free t-shirt with your design, and your name as credit for the image when possible. We’re looking forward to seeing some creative ideas from our Hiawatha community and supporters! Thanks in advance for your continued support.
