Up next, on August 6th – Weeywiyeyaa

“Our band’s name is an Anishinaabemowin term for ‘the circle’. We chose this name because we believe that we live in circles and spiral through time. We hope you join our circle by enjoying our music!

Band members have included: Jeff Bailey, Joe Biron, Tom Biron, Keenan Colquitt, Danny Garceau, Leora Lancaster, Martin Reinhardt, Eduardo Sanchez, Jud Sojourn, Caitlin Wright, and Dan Zini. Tina Moses is the band manager.”

From website: “As we gather to create music, we remember those who have come before and do our best to honor their sacrifices so that we may have a good life. We play our hearts out for our audiences and hope that our music inspires them and teaches them about the many issues contained within the lyrics. We also hope that our music helps make this world a better place for future generations. We hope that one day they will look back and know that we did things in a good way. Miigwech for supporting our music and being part of the Waawiyeyaa story!”
