Camping during the Festival
You can purchase a Camping Tag for one of the general Camping AREAS. You will NOT be assigned a specific campsite, only a specific AREA in which to camp. When the gates open on Friday at 1pm, it is OPEN CAMPING! We all ‘squeeze please’ to make room for everyone! Please do not circle ’round your campsite and waste space! We believe we can fit every tent, screen room, pop up, truck camper, 5th wheel, camper and RV in if we all use our space in a friendly and welcoming manner!
You must purchase a weekend Festival ticket in order to purchase a Camping Tag.

Here is our new scale:
$25 – all tents, screen rooms
$30 – camping units – pop ups, Rpods, any trailer, up to 24 feet long ( do NOT include tongue/towing package when determining length)
$40 – camping units – RV’s, any trailer, bus, etc longer than 24 feet ( do NOT include tongue/towing package when determining length) allow you to to camp for the ENTIRE WEEKEND – Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. You must leave the park by 12 noon on Monday.
Purchase a Camping Tag if you: are a registered Class A, B, C RV or a manufactured camper or are camping in a tent.
When gates open at 1pm on Friday, you will find a campsite in your Area. You are NOT guaranteed a specific campsite. The number on your camping tag is only for office use. Please proceed to your Area and meet some new friends! Everyone please “Squeeze Please”! Do not waste space and please take your vehicles to the free parking at Jacobetti so we have more room for camping!
Camping Requirements. As of 2017, we are no longer permitted to bring in our own firewood! Tourist Park will sell firewood so plan to bring a little extra cash!

That Thursday-night thing – The Lottery!
Anyone planning to attend the Festival may send in an application to enter our early entry Lottery. If you are selected, you will receive a confirmation and campsite number that is good for you for the entire weekend. If you are not selected, you will receive your application and check back in your self-addressed stamped envelope. Thursday night sites are NOT transferable to a friend or other family member in the event that you are selected and unable to attend. We choose a few extra applications for a waiting list, so you need to notify our office if you are unable to attend and we will assign your camping site to the next on the waiting list.
2020 Thursday night Lottery (for early entry on the Thursday before the Festival) application will be posted on our website around April 1st. Please check back here and watch our social media/Facebook/Instagram pages for the announcement. The Lottery selection will be conducted the week of May 4th and acceptance and decline letters mailed out the week of May 11th.
Please take your car away! Hiawatha cannot emphasize this enough. With more large RV’s and campers, and larger vehicles, our camping real estate is in danger of drying up. Please, Please, Please take your vehicle across the street to the Jacobetti Center where you can park all weekend FOR FREE!!! We have shuttles that take you back and forth if you want a ride, or you can get a quick 10 minute walk in on your own.
Please do not keep your car at your campsite if not absolutely necessary!
